TNT Sports has obtained a silver level CAP (Centre of Apprenticeship) status. This assists tennis coaches to train and complete their tennis training practical hours in preparation for their TSA Coach Certification Assessments and Career as a TSA (Tennis South Africa) Certified Tennis Coach. TNT Sports is also a Wilson testing centre – come and test your dream tennis racket!
Our coaches…
Owner Coach Derik Swanepoel has obtained his tennis qualification from overseas – UK(DCA). He is also a qualified ITF & TSA Level 2 tennis coach. Melissa Dowse has a ITF & TSA Level 2 qualification. All TNT Sports Coaches attend regular tennis courses, other workshops and tennis workshops, eg. child protection and first aid, to stay up-to-date with the latest information in the tennis industry.
Our players…
The majority of our young tennis players are participating in Play & Stay tournaments – ages 5 years – 10 years. Our tennis juniors take part in provincial Tennis SA tournaments where many have reached the semis and finals! We have a couple of advanced tennis players currently participating in ITF tournaments. Our advanced players puts up a great performance by finishing in a good position during tennis nationals.
