With a career spanning over two decades, Derik Swanepoel is a highly accomplished and multi-faceted professional in the world of sport, particularly tennis and sports management. His extensive qualifications, acquired in both the UK and South Africa, underscore his deep commitment to excellence and continuous learning.
Derik’s journey began as a semi-professional tennis player from 1997 to 2001, simultaneously honing his coaching skills. His early career saw him as an Agency Pool Lifeguard in London, a Camp Councillor with Cross Keys UK, and a First Aider at the Business Design Centre. He further broadened his expertise at Center Parcs, serving as a Pool Lifeguard and later ascending to Head Tennis Coach, while also contributing as an Assistant Tennis Coach at Salisbury Tennis Club.
Since 2003, Derik has been the driving force behind TNT Sports Management, serving as its Owner, Manager, and Head Tennis Coach. His leadership has expanded to prominent roles as Head Tennis Coach at Fourways High (since 2009), Resident Coach at Rivonia Sports Club (since 2010), and School Coach at Rivonia Primary (since 2012), Bryanston Parallel Medium (since 2016), and Steyn City Estate and Schools (since 2018).
Demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and international reach, Derik also became the Owner of 360 Global Placements in Kensington, London, UK, in 2019. His comprehensive skill set is further solidified by a multitude of qualifications, including the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (UK), multiple levels of Tennis Instructor and Coach certifications from both the LTA (UK) and South Africa, Sport Science and Management Certificates, and advanced First Aid certifications. His commitment to professional development is evident in his LTA Accredited Plus status and various LTA certificates in areas like digital marketing, diversity and inclusion, and skill development.
